My MIL keeps giving me a handful of almonds and dates every morning, but I'm not sure kya kya is actually good na. Im in 2nd trimester and want to add more healthy snacks. Which dry fruits do u all eat daily?
For me, dry fruits were a great source of quick energy, especially before my morning walks. Almonds and walnuts are excellent, they have good fats and nutrients. Just remember portion control, they can be calorie-dense!
Oh god, I literally googled this everyday! Pista, figs, raisins are also good. But don't eat too much na, sugar content can be high. Just discuss with your doc once about quantities.
Dry fruits are definitely healthy snacks, haan. But especially if you have any conditions like thyroid, you should discuss quantities with your gynac. My doctor always said a balanced diet is key, don't overdo any one thing.
Dry fruits are generally very beneficial for pregnant women, rich in iron, fiber, and essential minerals. Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and dates are popular choices. However, for personalized dietary recommendations, it's always best to consult your obstetrician.
Honestly, in my first trimester, the thought of any food made me sick. But later, soaked almonds and a couple of dates were actually easy to digest and gave me some much-needed energy. They were a lifesaver for me.
