My MIL keeps giving me a whole bowl of dry fruits every morning saying its good for baby. I love them but i read some are better avoided in pregnancy. Which ones should i be careful with?
Beta most dry fruits are good, but we usually caution about too many almonds or apricots if your body runs warm, and avoid raw or excess in early months. Soaked badam and a few walnuts are lovely. Just keep portions small and ask doctor if unsure.
Honestly no dry fruit is strictly banned, its about quantity. People mostly caution about overeating almonds and dates very early on. A handful mixed daily is healthy, just dont go overboard.
With my sugar issue I had to watch dry fruits like dates and raisins as they are high in sugar. So for me it wasnt unsafe, just had to limit. If you have any sugar concern, check portions with your doctor or dietician.
