Im in second trimester and want to add more healthy snacks to my day. My mom soaked some almonds for me but i wanted to know what all dry fruits others keep. Pls share what worked for you.
You dont need the expensive fancy ones honestly. Plain almonds, peanuts, few dates do the job and are cheaper. I bought a small mix and made it last. Simple and effective.
Nuts like almonds, walnuts, pista are good. Just go easy on dates and raisins because they are sugary, i had to watch that with my sugar. A small mixed handful daily worked for me.
At home elders gave me soaked almonds and dates daily, they say walnut is good for baby's brain. I kept it small portion. Anything in moderation is the family advice and my doctor agreed.
Almonds, walnuts and dates are the staples. I used to soak 4-5 almonds and 2 walnuts overnight and eat in morning. A handful total a day is enough, dont go overboard, they are high calorie.
