Just got my positive last week and im so confused what all to avoid. Everyone is giving me alag alag list, papaya nahi, this nahi, that nahi. Can u all share what u actually avoided?
I felt like I had to avoid everything in the beginning! But really, my doc said to avoid raw meat/fish (sushi and partially cooked eggs too), unpasteurized dairy, and high-mercury fish. Also, definitely no alcohol, and limit caffeine. It's a big list but totally worth it for the baby.
So, from my recent experience, things like raw papaya, pineapple in large quantities, unpasteurized cheese, and outside street food (especially pani puri, haha) were on my avoid list. Also, no alcohol, of course. For fish, stick to low-mercury options.
Oh, I feel you on this! With my bad morning sickness, I mostly just ate what I could keep down. But generally, avoid anything raw or undercooked, like meats and eggs. Also, unpasteurized dairy is a big no. And definitely no alcohol. Focus on simple, wholesome food that doesn't upset your stomach.
Yaar, basically all the fun stuff, haha! But seriously, no raw eggs, no raw fish like sushi, no unpasteurized paneer or milk. Actually, even street food I avoided totally. My gynac also said to be careful with too much pineapple and papaya, so I stayed away.
Listen, don't overthink it but some things are strict no-nos. Raw or undercooked meats and eggs, unpasteurized milk products, and certain fish high in mercury are out. Also, say goodbye to alcohol and limit caffeine significantly. And ghar ka khana is always best.
