Which food is good for baby brain development in pregnancy?
Im in my second trimester and really want to eat right for the baby. Everyone gives different advice so im a bit confused. What foods did u include for good brain development?
Honestly u dont need fancy expensive stuff for this. Eggs, dal, seasonal greens, a handful of peanuts or walnuts, curd, milk, all cheap and great. Save ur money, a simple desi thali covers most of it along with the supplements doc gives.
My mother in law gave me soaked almonds and walnuts every morning and it became a nice ritual. Add eggs, dal, leafy greens and milk and you're good. I always cross checked anything new with my doctor though, just to be safe with quantities.
Walnuts, almonds, eggs, green veggies, milk and curd, all the simple ghar ka stuff. People hunt for some special superfood but a balanced home diet plus ur prescribed folic acid and iron does the job. Dont overcomplicate it.
My gynac told me omega-3 rich foods like walnuts and (safe, well cooked) fish, plus eggs for choline, leafy greens for folate and dairy for protein. She said folic acid and iron supplements she prescribed also play a big role. Basically a balanced diet, no single magic food.
Nuts, eggs and greens are great for baby's brain, I leaned on those. Just one heads up, if u have sugar issues like I did, watch portions of nuts and fruits and follow ur doctor's diet plan. Balanced and measured worked best for me.
