Just found out im pregnant last week and everyone at home is suddenly telling me to avoid this avoid that, papaya, pineapple and all. Honestly im confused what i should actually stay away from. Can someone share the proper list?
For me sugar was the big thing because I had gestational diabetes. So beyond the usual raw food list, I had to watch sweets and white rice quantity. Everyone's list can differ so a doctor's guidance really helps here.
Haan main bhi confused thi pehle. I cut down on raw papaya and outside chaat completely. Doc said normal ghar ka khana is best na, just avoid the raw stuff and too much chai.
I just ate simple home food, dal roti sabzi and lots of fruits. Avoided the raw papaya only because everyone said so. Keep it simple beta and you will be fine.
Dont stress too much about every little thing yaar, that ruined my first weeks. Basically avoid raw, unhygienic and too much caffeine. Rest you can enjoy in moderation.
My gynac gave me a clear list actually. Raw or undercooked eggs and meat, unpasteurised milk, too much papaya and pineapple, and excess caffeine. She also said avoid outside cut fruits and street food just for hygiene reasons.
