Everyone keeps telling me alag alag cheezein to avoid, papaya, pineapple and all. Im in my first trimester so im being extra careful. Which fruits did your gynac actually ask you to skip? Pls share.
In our family, elders always say to avoid papaya and pineapple as they are 'hot' fruits. When I asked my doctor, she also confirmed that unripe papaya is indeed unsafe due to latex. I followed both my family's wisdom and doctor's advice on this.
Oh my god, I was so scared to eat any fruit in my first trimester! I read that raw papaya, pineapple, and even grapes can cause issues, so I completely stopped eating them out of anxiety. Honestly, just stay away from unripe papaya and pineapple to be safe, and wash everything else thoroughly.
Yaar, actually you should strictly avoid unripe or semi-ripe papaya because the latex in it can cause contractions. Ripe papaya is fine but unripe is a big no. Also, some doctors say avoid pineapple in large quantities, so better be safe.
Based on what my gynac told me when I was expecting, raw papaya and pineapple should be avoided because they can trigger uterine contractions. I kept my fruit bowl simple with apples, bananas, and pomegranates. Now that I am breastfeeding, I still prefer safe and simple fruits.
