Everyone at ghar keeps giving me different lists, papaya avoid, pineapple avoid, and im so confused now. First pregnancy so i dont want to take risk. Which fruits did your doc actually tell you to skip?
I know exactly how stressful it is when you're constantly worried about whether a simple fruit might harm your baby, I felt that anxiety every single day. Just to give you peace of mind, the main ones to completely avoid are unripe/semi-ripe papaya and pineapple. Other common fruits are generally safe, but please ask your doctor if you ever feel worried.
I made sure to avoid raw or semi-ripe papaya and pineapple throughout my pregnancy, as recommended by my doctor, but enjoyed plenty of safe fruits like apples and pomegranates. It kept me healthy and active all the way to my normal delivery. Eat well, stay happy, and keep a positive vibe!
Aside from avoiding unripe papaya and pineapple because of the latex and bromelain, I had to be very careful with high-sugar fruits like mangoes, chiku, and grapes due to my gestational diabetes. If you're managing your sugar levels, it's best to eat low-GI fruits like apples and pears in moderation as advised by your doctor.
I stayed very active with my daily walks and gentle prenatal yoga after my doctor's approval, and I also made sure to avoid unripe papaya and pineapple completely. Safe fruits like oranges and apples kept me energized for my routines. Always stick to what is safe and double-check your diet with your gynac.
Having gone through IVF, I was incredibly cautious about everything I ate and completely avoided unripe or semi-ripe papaya and pineapple, as they can cause uterine contractions. Please take care of yourself and eat safe fruits like apples, bananas, and pomegranates instead. Sending you lots of love on this precious journey.
