My roots are showing so badly yaar and i have a function coming up. Im 5 months along, can i colour or should i avoid totally? Confused which type is ok.
Honestly, my main craving during pregnancy was to look good for my baby shower, but I stayed away from harsh chemical dyes. I heard organic henna or vegetable-based dyes are much safer options. I'd rather spend that energy craving hot samosas anyway, haha!
I completely understand how u feel, sometimes we just need that little touch-up to feel like ourselves when everything is changing. I was so anxious about this too and read so many scary things online. In the end, I waited till my second trimester and used an ammonia-free organic dye in a well-ventilated salon.
Oh god, I spent hours googling this during my pregnancy because I was so scared the chemicals would seep into my scalp and affect the baby! Actually, my doctor said semi-permanent and ammonia-free dyes are fine, but maybe wait until the first 12 weeks are over just to be completely safe? Better safe than sorry!
Actually yaar, even I wanted to cover my greys before my maternity shoot. My gynac told me that ammonia-free color is totally fine, just make sure the salon is well-ventilated so u dont inhale the fumes. It's really not that risky after the first trimester.
Don't worry, your baby won't come out with green or pink hair! Just avoid those highly chemical ones in the first trimester because the strong smells might make your morning sickness worse. Go for natural henna or ammonia-free brands if u really can't stand the grey roots.
