Ghar pe everyone keeps suggesting different kadha and herbal stuff for immunity and all. Im 11 weeks and now confused which herbs are actually a no-no in pregnancy. Pls share whatever ur doc told u to avoid.
Avoid herbs like aloe vera, fenugreek in large amounts, and heavy herbal teas. When I was throwing up all day, I stuck to simple lemon or fresh ginger. Don't take any herbal supplements without asking your doctor.
I know how stressful it is to watch every single thing you eat, fearing it might harm the baby. Generally, avoid high amounts of fenugreek, tulsi, and green tea. Take a deep breath, standard spices in our daily food are totally safe.
Oh god, I completely stopped all herbal teas and even avoided eating too much garlic because I read somewhere it causes heat! Herbs like ashwagandha and tulsi are said to be avoided in large doses. Please ask your gynac to be safe, don't worry too much.
Haan na, safety first. Avoid herbs like tulsi, aloe vera, and ashwagandha in large amounts as they are too warm for the body. Normal spices in daily dal-sabzi are totally fine, so don't worry.
I've read that we should avoid herbs like ashwagandha and too much tulsi when trying to conceive or during pregnancy. It is always safer to stick to plain water and milk, and discuss with your doctor.
I felt so confused because my family wanted me to have various herbal kadas, but my doctor said to avoid them. Herbs like lemongrass and high amounts of tulsi can cause contractions. I felt much safer just sticking to plain food.
