Im in my first trimester and the vomiting is honestly so bad, cant even keep water down some mornings. I keep wondering which hormone is behind all this nausea. Just curious to understand whats happening in my body.
My doctor told me it is mainly the hCG hormone that rises a lot in early pregnancy and triggers the nausea and vomiting. Estrogen plays a part too she said. That is why it usually settles after the first trimester when hCG comes down.
Oh so that is why I am throwing up so much, the hCG! I was wondering what was doing this to me. Does it really stop after first trimester for everyone? Mine is still going at week 11 and I am hoping it ends soon.
It is the hCG hormone mainly. But one thing, if the vomiting is so much that you cant keep water down or feel very weak, please tell your doctor, that can be more than normal sickness. I had to get it checked once and was glad I did.
It is the hCG hormone, the one that shoots up early on. Both my pregnancies it was rough till about 3 months then eased off. Small frequent meals and a biscuit before getting out of bed really helped.
Ugh the vomiting, I had it so bad I lost weight in the first months. They say it is the pregnancy hormone hCG mostly. What helped me was eating tiny bits often and never staying empty stomach, that was the worst trigger for me.
It is the pregnancy hormone, hCG, that does it. My mother just kept giving me dry stuff like roasted poha and a little ginger to settle the stomach. The home tricks helped a bit, but the doctor confirmed it eases as hormone levels balance.
