I keep reading about hCG and progesterone everywhere but honestly im confused which one actually does what. Just curious to understand my own body better now that im expecting. Can someone explain simply?
Yes hCG is the star here, the home kits and blood tests look for it. My app had a whole section explaining how it rises in early weeks. Progesterone is the other important one for support.
Oh so the kit is basically checking hCG levels? That makes sense now why testing too early shows faint lines. I am early in mine and finding all this fascinating to learn.
The main one detected in tests is hCG, the pregnancy hormone, that is what the kit picks up. Progesterone and estrogen also play big roles in maintaining it. My doctor explained hCG is why we get those positive lines.
