As my belly is growing, I'm finding it difficult to get comfortable while sleeping. Which side is generally considered the best or safest to sleep on during pregnancy?
I was actually researching about this the other day! Is it really that hard to sleep on your back? I am a back sleeper and already wondering how I will manage when I get pregnant.
Haan na, sleep during pregnancy is so difficult. My doctor told me sleeping on the left side is the best option because it is good for the baby. Try using a soft pillow between your knees for support, it really helps!
Everyone says left side is best, but please ask your gynac once about this during your next scan. Sometimes there are specific positions they recommend depending on your placenta position. Better to be absolutely safe, na.
Left side is usually called the golden side for sleeping! 😴 It keeps the blood flow perfect for the little one. Use lots of pillows to make yourself a cozy nest! 💕
Left side is the best to sleep, haan! Actually right side is also fine if you get tired, but avoid sleeping on your back or stomach, na. Mere experience se, a long pillow is a lifesaver.
Oh dear, I totally feel you, sleep becomes such a struggle during these months. Honestly, sleeping on the left side is usually the best because it helps blood flow to the baby. But please don't stress if you wake up on your back sometimes, you are doing amazing!
Honestly, right now in my 9th month, any side that doesn't make me feel like an overturned turtle is the best! But seriously, my doc says left side is best, even though my back hurts like crazy. Just trying to survive till the delivery!
For me, I just couldn't sleep on my left side for too long as my shoulder would start hurting. I used to switch between left and right sides throughout the night. It worked out perfectly fine for me and my baby.
I have read in so many books that left side sleeping is highly recommended. I am also trying to build this habit now itself so it's easier later. Hope you get some peaceful sleep tonight.
