My period is 3 days late and im so tempted to test but last time i tested too early and got a faint confusing line. Should i test first thing morning or does timing not matter much? Dont want to get my hopes up wrongly again.
I tested too early out of excitement and got a negative, then a few days later it was positive. So yeah patience really matters here. Morning urine after the missed period is what finally worked for me.
My tracker app reminded me to wait until the day of my expected period at least, and to use early morning urine. Testing at night with diluted pee can show faint or wrong results. Morning, after missed period, is the sweet spot.
Best time is with your first morning urine, after you have missed your period, the hcg is most concentrated then. Testing too early gives false negatives and just stresses you out. Both times I waited till a day or two after the missed date and got clear results.
