Im a first time mom and getting close to my due date now. Keep hearing different numbers about when pregnancy is technically full term and ends. Just want to understand which week is actually counted as the final one.
Week 40, supposedly, but my baby clearly hasnt read the calendar and is taking its sweet time haha. They count from your last period. Right now every week feels like the last week to me honestly.
Oh so 40 weeks is the full term mark? I was confused about how its counted. Good to know its from the last period date. My due date is end of week 40 then, makes sense now.
40 weeks is the standard last week, that is your due date. But honestly very few deliver exactly then. Both mine came around 38-39 weeks. Anything from 37 onward is full term, so dont panic if baby arrives a little early.
A full term pregnancy is around 40 weeks, counted from your last period. My doctor said anytime from 37 weeks is considered term, and the 40th week is technically the last expected one, though babies can come a bit before or after. Your due date marks the end of week 40.
