Constipation is really troubling me these days, 2nd trimester. I wont take anything without checking with my gynac, but wanted to know what worked for others. Did any of u get something prescribed that was safe?
Aww, constipation is the absolute worst during these days! My doctor had prescribed a gentle stool softener syrup which was a lifesaver, so do ask your clinic for a safe recommendation.
Don't just buy any random laxative from the chemist, it can cause stomach cramps which are not good. Stick to drinking lots of water, eating fiber-rich food, or ask your doctor to write a safe pregnancy syrup.
Constipation is so hard, but since I had a past miscarriage, I was terrified of taking any over-the-counter medicine. I only used Isabgol (psyllium husk) after my doctor gave me the green light, so please ask your doctor first.
I had PCOS before conceiving, so I'm always extra careful with any pills. Instead of laxatives, try having warm milk with ghee at night or Isabgol, and definitely ask your gynac before taking any syrup.
Post my C-section, constipation was so scary because of the stitches. My doctor gave me a specific mild laxative syrup that made things very smooth. Please check with your gynac, they will give you the safest one for your stage.
