Which medicines should be avoided during pregnancy?
I sometimes pop a tablet for headache or acidity without thinking, but now im pregnant so im scared to take anything. Just want a general idea of what to stay away from. Will confirm with my gynac too.
Over the years, I've seen so many moms make the mistake of taking regular painkillers or cough syrups without thinking. Please avoid all over-the-counter pills during these nine months. Keep a list of safe medicines prescribed by your own gynac handy.
With twins, I had double the aches but zero permission to take random pills! Avoid self-medicating with any pain killers, cold remedies, or laxatives. Always let your doctor do the prescribing, otherwise you might face unwanted issues.
Beta, pregnancy me bina doctor se pooche koi bhi dawa mat khana, chahe sar dard ki ho ya pet dard ki. Kuch dawaiyaan bache ke liye acchi nahi hoti. Humesha apne doctor se pooch kar hi koi dawa lena.
I had such horrible morning sickness and was tempted to take normal over-the-counter pills, but my doctor strictly warned me against self-medication. Even basic pain relievers or cold medicines can be unsafe. Always ask your gynac to prescribe safe alternatives for your nausea or pain.
Avoid all self-prescribed medications, especially pain killers, heavy antibiotics, and acne medicines. Even Ayurvedic or herbal supplements can have side effects. Run everything by your gynac first, no exceptions.
After a long IVF journey, I was extremely careful with what went into my body. Please avoid taking any medicine, even a simple aspirin or gas pill, without your doctor's explicit green light. Your precious baby's safety is worth that extra phone call.
