Noticed some leaking from my breast and i got surprised since im only in 6th month, didnt expect anything this soon. Is this normal at this stage? when did it start for u ladies?
I noticed a little yellowish leaking around my 7th-8th month, that was the colostrum. But my friend had nothing till the baby came and she fed perfectly fine. So timing really varies, dont compare.
Your breasts start preparing quite early, but the first milk called colostrum usually shows up in the later months, around the third trimester. Some leak a little from then, some dont at all till after delivery, both are totally normal. Dont worry if you dont see any.
No need to watch for it anxiously beta. For many it starts quietly in the last couple of months as colostrum, for some only after birth. Your body knows what to do when baby arrives, just relax.
My doctor explained the breasts can make colostrum from around the second trimester, but most women only notice anything in the third trimester if at all. Full milk really comes in a few days after delivery. So no need to expect it early.
I was worried because nothing has happened yet at my stage, did others also not see anything in second trimester? Reading these replies makes me feel better that it mostly comes later. Phew.
