Had a scan recently and the report mentioned something about which side ovary released the egg this cycle. Got me thinking, does it even matter which ovary, left or right? maybe a random question but im curious.
My doctor told me neither ovary is better, they usually take turns releasing an egg each cycle. Both are equally capable. As long as ovulation is happening, the side doesnt matter at all.
Oh I had this exact doubt earlier! From what my doctor said, both sides are equally good and they release alternately. Good to know we worry about same things haha.
There is no best ovary, that's a myth. Egg can come from either side and pregnancy happens just the same. Dont overthink left or right, focus on healthy cycles instead.
I used to wonder this too during my treatment. My gynac explained both ovaries work and alternate normally. In some conditions one may be more active, but that's individual, so your doctor is the one to tell about your case.
