Im a back sleeper my whole life and now in 6th month i keep reading not to sleep that way. Honestly i wake up confused about which side is correct. Pls tell me how u all manage.
From about the second trimester, sleeping on your left side is highly recommended by doctors. It helps with blood flow to the baby and your kidneys. It can be hard to adjust, so I found that placing a pillow between my knees and another under my bump really helped. Avoid sleeping flat on your back for long periods.
Safe to sleep? Ha! At this point (3rd tri), *any* position where I actually *get* to sleep feels like a win! 😂 But seriously, my gynac said side sleeping, especially left, is best. But trust me, you'll wake up on your back sometimes, and it's okay, just roll back. The pillows are key, mereko toh pure bed par pillows hi chahiye hote hain!
The safest position? Probably standing up, just kidding! 😂 But really, after your first trimester, try to sleep on your side, ideally your left side. Don't stress if you wake up on your back sometimes, your body will usually tell you to shift. A good pregnancy pillow is like having a comfy cloud helping you out!
I'm still trying to conceive, but I've heard that sleeping on your side, especially the left side, is recommended during pregnancy. It sounds like it might get difficult later on with the growing belly. Is it really that uncomfortable, I wonder?
Okay, so side sleeping is your new best friend! 😉 Especially the left side is what doctors usually suggest for better blood flow to baby. Invest in a good pregnancy pillow, it's a lifesaver! You'll be hugging it more than your husband soon, haha! 🥰
