I'm finding it hard to get comfortable at night, and I'm worried about sleeping in the wrong position. Which sleeping positions are safest and most comfortable during different stages of pregnancy? I want to make sure I'm not harming the baby.
Try to sleep on your left side as it helps with blood flow to the baby. Use a normal pillow between your knees for support, you don't need anything fancy, just make sure you are comfortable.
Sleep on your left side, though at this point in my 3rd trimester, any position feels like sleeping on a pile of bricks! Get a pregnancy pillow if you can, it's the only thing keeping me sane.
I am in my second trimester and trying so hard to sleep only on my left side, but I always wake up on my back and then get so anxious! Is anyone else struggling to stay on their side all night?
Left side sleeping is the best, but don't panic if you wake up on your back sometimes. I used to worry so much about this, but my body would naturally adjust and my toddler turned out perfectly fine!
Sleeping on your side is recommended. Instead of buying those expensive C-shaped pregnancy pillows, just use a couple of regular extra pillows from home under your tummy and between your legs—it works just as well and saves money!
Doctors generally advise sleeping on the left side to improve circulation. If you find it hard or experience back pain, check with your gynac so they can suggest the best posture or supportive exercises.
