Im 6 months along and finding it hard to get comfortable at night, keep turning. Heard left side is better but not sure why. Which side do u all sleep on and does it really matter?
My app kept reminding me left side is ideal for circulation in later pregnancy. A wedge pillow or a normal pillow between knees makes a huge difference. Early on any position is okay, the side thing matters more in the bigger bump stage.
Left side is what's usually recommended, especially later in pregnancy, it's better for blood flow to the baby. But dont stress if you flip to the right in your sleep, that's fine too. Just avoid flat on your back for long in the later months.
I felt so guilty every time I woke up on my back early on, but my doctor said dont worry, your body will naturally shift. Left side with a pillow between my knees was the only way I got comfy in the third trimester. A pregnancy pillow was honestly a lifesaver for me.
Left side they say, but at 8 months I sleep in whatever position my body allows for 20 minutes before I have to pee again lol. I just keep a pillow behind my back so I lean left without effort. Survival mode honestly.
