Which side to sleep during first trimester pregnancy?
Im 9 weeks and ive been hearing so much about sleeping positions that now im confused. I usually sleep on my back but now scared if thats wrong. Does the side really matter this early na?
In the first few months, the baby is still very tiny and protected deep inside, so your sleeping position isn't a major concern. Just try to keep yourself comfortable. Later on, sleeping on your side, preferably left, becomes important for blood flow.
Beta, pehle teen mahine mein toh you can sleep in any position you are comfortable. But after that, our elders always say sleep on your left side. It helps with blood flow, woh kehte hain. Just make sure you are not on your stomach.
Honestly, during my first trimester, I was just trying to sleep *at all* with all the morning sickness! Forget the side, just find a position where you don't feel like throwing up. Later, left side is preferred but for now, comfort first!
Arey, pehle teen mahine mein toh tu kisi bhi side so sakti hai na, koi problem nahi hoti. Jab baby thoda bada ho jaata hai, tab doc bolte hain ki left side pe sona. Toh abhi bas aram se so jao, haan!
During the first trimester, most doctors say any position is fine as the uterus isn't large enough to restrict blood flow. However, as you progress, especially into the second and third trimesters, sleeping on your left side is highly recommended for optimal blood circulation to the baby and your kidneys. My doc told me this very clearly.
Yaar, actually, first trimester mein it doesn't really matter too much which side you sleep on. Baby is too small to be affected. Just sleep in whatever position is comfy, honestly. Later on, they say left side is better.
I had PCOS, so I was always extra careful. For the first trimester, I mostly slept however I felt comfortable, as my gynac said it was okay. But it's always best to ask your own doctor specific to your case, just to be sure.
