First time pregnant and trying to fix my diet properly. I want to add more sabzi in my meals but confused which ones are actually good now. Pls share what veggies u all had during pregnancy.
Most veggies are great. I loaded up on green leafy ones, bhindi, gourds like lauki and tinda. Just go slow on potato and too much starchy ones, specially if sugar is a concern. Variety is the real key.
I focused on colour variety honestly. Spinach, broccoli, carrots, beetroot. The folate and iron from greens really helped my reports. Pair with a little lemon for iron absorption, my dietician told me that.
You dont need fancy exotic veg yaar. Simple palak, methi, lauki, gajar are cheap and full of nutrition. Seasonal local sabzi is best value and freshest. Thats what I ate whole pregnancy.
My amma always said eat plenty of greens like palak, methi, drumstick leaves. Lauki and beans also very good. Just wash everything properly and cook well. My doctor agreed leafy veg help with iron, so I had them almost daily.
