My period is 3 days late and i tested today, faint line came. Now im not sure if i tested too soon. After how many weeks does the home test give the most accurate result? dont want to get my hopes up wrongly.
The test is most accurate from the day your period is due or a few days after, around 4 weeks of pregnancy. Testing before that often gives false negatives. Use first morning urine for the clearest result.
My tracker app reminded me to test from the day after my missed period, that is when hcg is high enough. I tested too early once and got negative wrongly. Wait till about a week after the act fails to bring your period.
I learnt the hard way, tested early, got negative, was devastated, then positive a few days later. So waiting till the missed period really gives the truest answer. Saves the emotional rollercoaster.
