I took the regular deworming tablet last year and now im pregnant so it came to my mind. Just wanted to understand why its avoided during this time. Not taking anything without asking doc, just want to know.
Deworming medicines like that are usually avoided especially in the first trimester because of possible risk to the developing baby. Doctors prefer to wait or use safer options. Please dont take it on your own, let your gynac decide if and when it is needed.
I would never take any such medicine in pregnancy without asking, learned to be very careful. There is a reason they flag it, the early months are sensitive. If you have a worm issue, tell your doctor and let them choose the safe treatment.
