Im only around 8 weeks and already my lower kamar is paining. I thought back pain comes later when the belly is big? Is this normal so early or should i mention it to my doc?
According to my pregnancy tracker, early back pain is actually caused by the hormone relaxin, which starts loosening your ligaments to prepare your body. It is very common in the first trimester. Try tracking your daily pain levels on an app to see if it improves.
Your body is changing and hormones are shifting, so a little back pain is normal. Sit with proper back support and don't lift heavy things at home. If the pain becomes unbearable or is accompanied by spotting, go straight to your doctor.
Hormonal shifts cause this early on, but make sure you are getting enough calcium. I had gestational diabetes so I had to be very careful with my diet, but my doctor made sure my calcium supplements were on point. Proper nutrition really helps with joint pains.
When I had this in my early weeks, my mother made me sit with a warm pillow behind my back and gave me light warm milk. It’s just your body adapting to the new life inside you. Rest as much as possible at your parents' place if you can.
I totally understand how difficult it is to deal with back pain when you are already feeling so exhausted early on, dear. Your body is working so hard to grow this little miracle. Please rest, put a small pillow under your knees, and take care of yourself.
