Got my scan done yesterday and the report said fluid is on higher side. Doc said its fine for now but didnt really explain why it happens. Just curious to understand the reason, anyone been told the same?
I was wondering same thing after my scan! My fluid was a bit on higher side and I got scared. Doc said it's usually nothing, just keep follow up. Are you also asking because of a scan report?
My doctor explained the fluid increases as baby grows because baby keeps swallowing and passing it, it's a normal cycle. It goes up till around 8 months and then slowly comes down. If yours is on the higher side in scan, just ask the doc, they keep an eye on it.
Totally normal for it to increase as pregnancy goes on, the baby needs that cushion to move and grow. Mine was fine both times. Only thing to watch is if scan says too much or too less, then doctor will tell you what to do.
Beta it increases naturally because the baby is growing and needs space and protection inside. It's part of how the body takes care of the baby. As long as your doctor is checking levels in scans, you really dont need to stress over it.
It increasing is normal but in my case it was a bit too much (they called it polyhydramnios) so they kept extra watch. So just saying, dont assume anything from the report yourself, let your gynac read the numbers and tell you if it's fine.
