Ive always tried to cut down on ghee and oily food but now my dietician said i need good fats during pregnancy. Im in 4th month. Bit confused why fats matter so much now. Can someone explain?
In our home elders always added a spoon of ghee and gave nuts during pregnancy, and turns out the good fats really do help baby's growth. Just dont overdo the fried snacks. Doctor will tell u the right balance for u.
Fats are needed for the baby's growth and to absorb certain vitamins, so dont go fat-free thinking its healthy. Just pick good sources, ghee, nuts, seeds, not loads of fried stuff. Balance hai sab kuch.
My doc explained that healthy fats help in the baby's brain and eye development, especially the good fats like in nuts, ghee and fish. She said its not about avoiding fat, its about choosing the right kind. So I added more nuts and a bit of ghee.
Finally a reason to enjoy nuts, avocado and a little ghee guilt free haha. The healthy fats actually help the baby grow, so they're important. Just the good kind though, not daily samosas sadly.
