Im in my 7th month and my belly button has literally popped out, it was always inside before. Looks so funny na but also thoda weird to me. Does this happen to everyone or just some?
This is actually very common, dear. Since our bellies expand so much to keep our precious little ones safe, the belly button just gets pushed out. It happened to me too after my IVF journey, and my doc said it's totally normal. Just be gentle with it as it can get a bit sensitive.
Oh don't worry, it's just your body's way of saying the baby is growing beautifully! 😄 It's like a little turkey timer popping up. Mine went back to normal a few months after delivery, so just enjoy the cute belly bump! 🤰✨
I am still trying to conceive, but I keep reading about this. Is it painful when it pops out or does it just look different? My sister said it happens because of the pressure inside, sounds so fascinating how our bodies change!
When this happened to me, I immediately called my consultant at Cloudnine to ask. The staff explained that as the baby grows, the abdomen wall stretches and pushes it out. They were so reassuring, so do ask your hospital care team if you feel any discomfort.
It is quite normal because of the stretching, but please make sure there is no pain or swelling around it. Sometimes it can be a hernia too, so it is always better to get it checked by your gynac. Safe side is always best during pregnancy.
Beta, this is a very natural thing when the womb expands. Don't worry, just apply a little warm coconut oil or ghee around the belly button if it feels dry or itchy. Keep the area clean and don't rub it hard.
Honestly, my body was already acting up due to PCOS, and when my belly button popped out in the second trimester, I got so scared. But it's just the growing uterus pushing it from inside. Don't stress too much but do mention it to your gynac on your next visit just to be sure.
