Why betnesol injection during pregnancy?

My doc told me i might need this injection in the coming weeks and i forgot to ask exactly why. A little nervous now and googling isnt helping. Did anyone get it, what was the reason for u?

My gynac gave me these injections around 32 weeks. She explained it helps the baby's lungs mature faster in case of early delivery. Its usually given when there is a chance of preterm birth, so dont worry, its actually protective.

Haan my doc also gave this, she said its for baby lungs na. Don't take tension, its a common one during pregnancy.

I got betnesol because my doctor suspected I might deliver early. Please just ask your gynac exactly why she prescribed it for u, every case is different. Dont skip it though, it really matters for baby.
