I noticed some small clots while bleeding a little and im honestly panicking. Im in my first trimester. I plan to call my gynac first thing tomorrow but wanted to understand why this happens. anyone been through this?
I wont give medical reasons coz i am no expert. I just know when i had any clotting my doctor wanted to see me same day. Sharing only so you take it seriously and go in.
Beta dont panic but dont ignore either. There are many reasons and only a doctor can tell which one is yours after seeing you. Get to your gynac calmly and let them check, okay.
If you are seeing blood clots passing, please call your gynac right away, dont read forums and wait. It can be normal in some cases but can also mean something needs checking. I learnt the hard way that bleeding with clots is always a doctor-call situation.
There can be two meanings, clots you pass which is bleeding, or the body being more prone to clotting in blood vessels during pregnancy due to hormones. My doctor explained pregnancy naturally makes blood clot easier to prevent excess bleeding at delivery. Either way any clotting symptom should be told to gynac for the right reason.
Clotting and bleeding is not something to figure out yourself during pregnancy. Whatever the cause, your gynac needs to see you to be safe. Note the colour, amount and any pain and tell them clearly.
Oh god this exact thing made me panic in my 8th week. I rushed to the doctor and turns out it needed monitoring, so honestly i am glad i didnt sit at home googling. Please just go get checked, the peace of mind is worth it.
