Im 6 months along and noticed my hips and back side has become so much bigger, not just the pet. Is this normal yaar or am i just gaining weight in wrong places? curious why this happens.
It is completely natural, dear. Your body is doing something beautiful by widening the hips to support the baby's weight. Don't feel bad about the weight gain, it is temporary and so worth it.
I just delivered two months ago and honestly, my hips are still quite wide. During pregnancy, the hormone relaxin softens your ligaments so the pelvic area can expand. It's just nature doing its job, so don't stress about it.
I felt so conscious about my body changing, especially my hips and buttocks getting so much bigger. I literally cried in front of the mirror once. But then I realized my body was just preparing to bring my baby into the world, which made me feel so proud.
I have heard from my cousins that body shape changes quite a bit, especially around the hips. It sounds a bit scary but I guess it is natural for baby's space. Hope your pregnancy is going smoothly.
Haha oh god, my jeans gave up on me in the second trimester itself! It is totally normal, your body is basically storing fat and your pelvic bones are widening for delivery. Just accept the extra cushion, you will need it for all the sitting and nursing later!
