My gynac mentioned something about cervix at my last visit and now im a bit worried. Im only 9 weeks so why would it open this early na? Wanted to understand before my next appointment.
My doctor explained that some women have a weak cervix that can start to open early, and they watch for it with scans, sometimes a stitch is done if needed. It is not common but it is treatable when caught in time. Definitely a doctor managed thing, not home remedies.
This is something to take seriously and not google away. In early pregnancy the cervix should mostly stay closed, so if someone told you it is opening, please get your gynac to check soon. I had a cervix issue and early monitoring made all the difference for me.
Okay this would have me googling all night so I get the worry. But please just ring your gynac instead, they can measure the cervix on a scan and reassure you properly. Dont sit and stress alone na.
Not something to figure out from a forum honestly. If there is a real sign of the cervix opening early, it needs a proper exam fast. Please book your gynac at the earliest.
Take a breath first. Usually the cervix stays firm and closed early on, and if there is any concern they monitor it closely and have ways to support it. Get checked, and let your doctor guide, you are not alone in this.
