Why ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in pregnancy?
I had this medicine before knowing i was pregnant for a UTI and now im really worried reading online that its not allowed. Will call my gynac for sure but wanted to understand why exactly its avoided. Anyone knows?
My saas always says never to take any English medicines without asking the doctor first. When I had a severe urine infection, my doctor specifically avoided ciprofloxacin and gave me a different pregnancy-safe medicine. So please don't self-medicate.
Ciprofloxacin can affect the baby's bone and joint development, which is why it's a big no-no. Carrying twins was already a double load on my joints, so I definitely didn't want any joint issues for my babies! Always let your gynac choose your antibiotics.
I had UTI along with terrible morning sickness and wanted quick relief. But my doctor explained that ciprofloxacin is not safe for the baby's cartilage development. They gave me a safer alternative that worked beautifully, so please consult your doctor immediately.
Ciprofloxacin is strictly avoided because it can interfere with the baby's bone growth. I had some severe health complications during my pregnancy and learnt the hard way that you should never take any antibiotic without your doctor's green light. Please consult your gynac right away for a safe prescription.
Oh god, please do not take ciprofloxacin! It can harm the growing baby's joints, and thinking about it makes me so anxious. Always double-check every single pill with your gynac before swallowing it, even for minor issues.
