Im 14 weeks and on and off i get these mild cramps which makes me nervous every time. No bleeding or anything thankfully. Just trying to understand why they even happen during pregnancy, is it the uterus stretching or something? pls share.
My gynac explained that as the uterus expands the round ligaments stretch and that causes those pulling cramps, very common. She also said digestion slows in pregnancy so gas cramps happen a lot. The ones to watch are severe or persistent pain, those she wanted reported.
I used to spiral over every cramp, ngl. Learned that most are just stretching or gas and totally normal. What helped me was knowing the warning signs, so anything strong or with spotting I called the doc, otherwise I tried to relax.
Most of the time its your body simply adjusting and making room, nothing scary. Rest, water and a warm position usually ease the mild ones. Just promise me if it gets sharp or comes with bleeding, you call your gynac.
Mild cramps mostly come from your uterus stretching and growing, ligaments adjusting, sometimes gas too. Thats normal stuff. But strong cramps, or ones with bleeding or fever, are a doctor call, dont brush those off.
I get these little cramps too and always wonder why. Doc said its growing pains basically, body making space for baby. Anyone else feel them more when you change position suddenly? That happens to me a lot.
