Im in my 5th month and lately my lower back is paining so much, specially when i get up from bed or sit for long. Is this just normal pregnancy thing or something to worry about? Curious why it even happens.
Back pain comes from the extra weight in front and the hormones loosening your joints to prepare for delivery. Good posture, a firm pillow behind your back, and not standing too long helped me a lot. It is very common, especially later months.
Once my doctor cleared me, some gentle prenatal stretches and short walks really eased my back pain. Strengthening the back gently makes a difference. Just dont start any exercise without your gynac okay first.
Mostly it is normal pregnancy back pain, but if it is severe, comes with fever, or feels like rhythmic cramps, please call your gynac. I once had pain that turned out to need checking. For regular aches though, rest and posture help.
My back has basically filed a complaint against this belly haha. Apparently it is the weight and the loosening joints. A warm compress and lots of lying on my side is my survival plan right now.
