Why do evaporation lines appear on pregnancy tests?
Took a test in the morning, saw nothing, then checked again after some time and there was this faint colourless line. Got so confused, dont know if its real or that evaporation line everyone talks about. Why does this even happen? did it confuse u too?
Evaporation line shows up when the urine on the test dries out, usually if u read it after the time limit. Its colourless or grey and has no real meaning. The trick is to read the result strictly within the time written on the kit, after that ignore any line.
It happens when u leave the test sitting too long and the liquid evaporates, leaving a faint shadow line. People get falsely excited or worried over it. Just read within the window, like 3-5 min, and dont look again later.
Actually it appears when u check the test too late yaar, the pee dries and leaves a faint mark. Its not a real positive. If u are confused, just take a fresh test or do a blood test to be sure.
Oh these lines messed with my head so much, i kept staring at the test for an hour, big mistake. That faint colourless line that appears later is just evaporation, not a positive. Read it once in the time limit and put it away, save urself the stress.
