By evening my feet look so puffy these days, my chappals feel tight which never happened before. Im in my third trimester. Is this just a normal pregnancy thing or something to keep an eye on? anyone else dealing with this?
Oh my feet look like little balloons these days, cant even fit my regular slippers anymore haha. Apparently it is the extra fluid and the baby pressing on things. I just keep them propped up and complain to my husband.
Mild swelling is normal, but I want to add, if it comes suddenly with a bad headache, blurry vision or swelling in face and hands, please call your gynac immediately. I had BP issues so my doctor watched my swelling closely. Better safe than sorry.
Swelling happens because your body holds extra fluid and the growing uterus presses on blood flow to the legs, very common especially later on. Keep your feet up when resting and avoid standing too long. I had it both times, it eased after delivery.
