Im 7 months along and lately my feet look puffy by night, even my fingers feel tight. My MIL says its normal in later months but i want to understand why it actually happens. Will mention it to my gynac in next visit also.
I had sudden swelling in my hands and face and it turned out my BP was high. So please dont ignore it if it comes fast or with a headache. Get your BP checked just to be safe.
Mild swelling is normal because of extra fluid and the baby pressing on veins. Keep your legs up when you sit, dont stand too long and drink enough water. But if it comes suddenly with headache or blurry vision, call your gynac immediately.
Sitting all day at work made my feet puff up by evening. I started keeping a small stool under my desk to raise my legs and took short walks. Helped a lot, but I still mentioned it to my doctor at every visit.
