Im constantly hungry these days, like i finish a meal and an hour later im looking for food again. Im around 5 months. Is this much hunger normal or am i eating too much? anyone else felt this?
Totally normal, your body is doing extra work and the baby needs nutrients, so hunger ramps up especially in second trimester. The trick is eating small frequent meals with protein and fiber so you stay full longer. I'd keep fruit, nuts and curd handy so I didnt reach for junk every time.
Your metabolism is working overtime so the hunger makes sense. I noticed mine spiked after my doctor approved light walks, which is normal. Balanced meals with protein kept me from constant snacking. Just listen to your body, it knows it needs more right now.
Haha welcome to the club, I felt like I could eat the whole kitchen some days. It's your body and the baby teaming up against your fridge. Just snack smart, keep nuts and fruit around, and dont feel guilty, you're literally growing a person.
The hunger is normal but one gentle tip from my experience, watch what you reach for. I had gestational diabetes so I learnt to satisfy hunger with protein and fiber rather than sweets and refined stuff, kept me fuller and steadier. Keeps energy even without sugar crashes.
