Im in my 7th month and by evening my feet look so puffy i cant even wear my normal chappals. My MIL says its normal but i keep wondering whats actually causing it. Anyone know why this happens?
My gynac said swelling happens because of extra fluid and the growing uterus pressing on the veins, slowing blood return from the legs. She told me to put my feet up and avoid standing too long. But she warned that sudden severe swelling with headache should be reported.
Oh my feet turned into balloons in the last trimester haha, none of my shoes fit. Putting my legs up on a pillow helped a bit. Its annoying but apparently very normal.
Some swelling is normal, but please dont ignore sudden swelling in the face or hands with a headache, that can mean high BP. I was told to watch for that. Get checked if it comes on fast.
