By evening my feet and ankles get so puffy that my chappals feel tight. Im in my 7th month. Its not painful, just uncomfortable. Why does this happen and did it ease up for you?
My feet became cushions in the third trimester, none of my chappals fit anymore haha. Putting them up on a pillow in evening is my survival trick. Tired but managing, this too shall pass na.
My amma told me to soak my feet in warm water and rest with a pillow under them, it gave relief. Cutting too much salt also helped me. But I always told my gynac at each visit so she could keep an eye.
Mild swelling is usually normal, but mine turned out linked to BP so please dont fully ignore it. If it comes suddenly with a headache or you feel unwell, get your BP checked. I am cautious because I learned the hard way.
Swelling is super common in later months, the body holds more fluid and the bump presses on veins. Keep your feet up, dont stand for long, and stay hydrated. But sudden heavy swelling with headache or blurry vision, tell your doctor fast, that needs checking.
