My feet and ankles look puffy by evening, especially after standing. I am 32 weeks and will mention it to my gynac, but wanted to know if others had this too. Did swelling come and go for you?
Mild swelling is normal, but I want to add, if it comes suddenly with a bad headache, blurry vision or swelling in your face and hands, please call your gynac at once. That needs checking for BP. Otherwise feet up and rest.
Girl my ankles disappeared completely by evening, hello cankles haha. It is the fluid your body loves to store now. Cold water soak and feet up while watching tv was my little ritual. End of day it is always worse.
Sitting at my desk all day made it worse for me. I started taking little walk breaks and keeping a stool under my feet. Loose comfy footwear helped too. Small changes but they added up by evening.
Swelling in legs is super common, the body holds more fluid and the growing belly slows blood flow from legs. I used to put my feet up on a pillow and it helped a lot. Avoid standing too long at a stretch.
Common ma, especially towards the end of the day. My mother told me to soak feet in warm water and rest with legs raised, it eased it. But if it ever feels sudden or with headache, ring your doctor first.
