Second trimester now and this constipation is driving me mad, never had this issue before pregnancy. Drinking water and eating fruits still. Just wondering why it happens so much during this time?
My gynac explained it is the pregnancy hormones slowing down digestion, plus iron tablets make it worse. She told me to up my water and fibre. That combo really helped me.

Sitting all day at work made mine worse. I started keeping a water bottle on my desk and a small fruit bowl. Little walks after meals helped too, easy to fit in.
Honestly I think my biscuit and chips cravings didnt help haha. Adding more fruits, oats and isabgol type fibre fixed it for me. Drink lots of water yaar, makes a big difference.
