My gynac told me to take complete rest for few weeks and im a little scared now thinking something is wrong. Is it always given when there is a problem or sometimes just as precaution? Anyone whose doc suggested same?
When my friend got bed rest i also panicked thinking something major. But doc told her its more of a precaution to avoid pressure. Just clarify with ur own doctor what they exactly mean, na?
My MIL kept saying chalo fal aaram milega, but actually bed rest is given for a medical reason not for fun haha. Follow what doctor said and let family help with chores.
Usually its when theres some risk, like bleeding, weak cervix, BP issues or twins. They want to keep things calm. Dont take it lightly but also ask if its complete rest or just relax type.
In my case it was because of low placenta and little spotting. Doc wanted to reduce strain. If urs has advised bed rest pls follow it properly and ask exactly how strict, every case is different.
If u r working ask ur doc for it in writing so u can take leave properly. Bed rest reasons vary, BP, spotting, etc. Better to rest now than regret later honestly.
