Why does amniotic fluid decrease during pregnancy?
At my last scan doc mentioned my fluid is on lower side, im in 7th month. Got thoda tense after hearing that. Just trying to understand why it even happens. Anyone else had low fluid?
My fluid levels dropped significantly in the 37th week, so my gynac advised an early delivery. Honestly, the C-section went so smoothly and recovery was very manageable with proper rest. Don't be scared if they suggest delivery a bit early.
Haan, mere saath bhi 8th month mein fluid thoda kam ho gaya tha. Sometimes baby is using more or there is some minor leakage that we don't realize. Gynac to dikhana hi padega na, safe rehne ke liye.
Please try not to worry too much. It can happen due to many normal reasons like small leaks or just natural changes as the baby grows. Just keep taking rest and stay in touch with your doctor.
I know how draining it is when you can't even keep water down because of nausea, which can lead to low fluid levels. If you are vomiting a lot, please get it checked. Try taking small sips of chilled water or electral powder to stay hydrated.
I totally understand the panic you must be feeling right now, I used to cry over every small report. Low amniotic fluid is very common and doctors know exactly how to manage it. Take a deep breath, it's going to be absolutely fine.
This actually happened to me in my 38th week just before my delivery. My water levels suddenly dropped because the placenta was getting old and could not support the baby as well. Luckily my doctor caught it in the ultrasound and we safely delivered.
When my fluid went a bit low, my mother made sure I stayed completely on bed rest and drank fresh coconut water daily. Sometimes a little rest at home and family care is all you need to keep things stable.
Sometimes it's just because we don't drink enough water throughout the hot days. Try to drink at least 3-4 liters of water, coconut water, or fresh juices daily. It's a simple thing but keeping yourself hydrated really helps maintain the fluid.
My kid is 2 now, but I still remember my fluid levels dropping in the final weeks. It can happen as the baby gets ready for birth and the placenta ages. Don't worry, standard medical monitoring keeps everything safe.
I can only share my own journey, as I'm not a medical expert. In my case, my doctor noticed a slight drop in the 9th month and advised me strict bed rest and lots of coconut water. It worked for me but definitely ask your own doctor.
