My navel is suddenly sticking out and I keep touching it because it feels so weird. It doesn't hurt but looks very different. Why does this happen as bump grows?
My doc explained the expanding belly increases pressure inside and that pushes the navel outward, especially in the last trimester. She said its harmless and reverses postpartum. Nothing to worry about.
Basically baby is renting more space and there's no room left, so the button gives up and pops out haha. It deflates back later, dont panic. Pregnancy does the weirdest things.
Its just the growing uterus pushing everything forward, so the belly button gets pushed out from the pressure. Totally normal, it pops back after delivery. Happened to me both times.
