My bp was slightly high at the last checkup and the nurse told me to watch it. Im 28 weeks. Just wanna understand why it goes up in pregnancy in the first place, anyone faced this?
First, its okay to feel scared about BP talk, i did too. Once my doctor explained the why and started monitoring, i felt calmer. Just keep ur visits regular and share every symptom honestly.
I had thyroid and they watched my BP carefully too, lots of follow ups. Rising BP isnt something to take lightly in pregnancy. Keep ur appointments regular and report any headaches or swelling to ur doctor.
My BP shot up late in pregnancy and it needed monitoring, so please dont ignore it. Watch for bad headaches, blurry vision or sudden swelling, those need urgent doctor attention. Stay on top of ur check ups.
My gynac said BP can rise due to the body changes in pregnancy and sometimes a condition called preeclampsia. Thats why they check it at every visit. If urs is rising, regular monitoring and following the doctor closely is key.
