I read about cervix opening early and now I am worried because I had some pressure feeling. I know Google makes everything scary. Did anyone have cervical length checked in early pregnancy?
If your cervix is actually opening in early pregnancy that needs your gynac to check immediately, it can be a sign that needs attention. Please dont wait or self diagnose, get a scan and proper exam done.
My doctor explained that the cervix is supposed to stay closed during pregnancy and only opens near delivery. If it opens early they call it cervical insufficiency and they monitor it closely, sometimes with a stitch. So this is definitely a check with doctor thing.

Normally it shouldnt open early, it stays shut to protect the baby. If a scan showed something like this, your doctor is the right person to explain why for your case and what to do. Please follow up with them.
